Optimisation of nitrogen management for groundwater quality improvement and conservation OptiMa-N
The three-year OptiMa-N project, co-ordinated by CRPA S.p.A. supported by the European Union financial instrument LIFE III and (several) other partners in the Emilia area, has been set up to achieve the following main objectives:
| to verify the real contribution of the main agricultural practices to nitrogen pollution in the form of nitrates in groundwater, |
| to foster the application of sustainable agricultural practices from both environmental and economic points of view |
